Well thank you to all I'm going to start my lpn classes soon n volunteer as a cna somewhere for the experience .. It just sucks b/c I feel like it was kind of a waist of time getting into something I can't live off of but o well :-)

Well that's nobody's fault but your own, next time in the future hopefully you'll do research before you join and complete a program, only to find out how much you really make upon exiting the program.

That's like finishing school as a nurse, only to discover you don't get paid as much as a doctor.

New jersey ! 15-16 an hour

lpns get 23-30 hourly in nj if you wanted to know ;)

Well thanks that is good to know I would love a more populated state

Everytime I read these threads I think, CNAs do not get paid enough in the US.

PA I make $14.80/hr in a hospital. I hear nursing homes are between $14-$16/hr. Home care was the worst at $8-$10 an hour, it wasn't even worth it for the extra cash.

This is good information. does different department pay differently?

I make 12.50 an hour. Been a CNA for a year and a half - 7 months at a LTC and now 8 months in LTACH. I get a 6 dollar an hour pay bump once I start nursing school in January though!

Im very late but "Nobody's fault but my own" . well ok, Well I did attended vocational high school where i got placed in that program automatically because my goal was to be a nurse. I was only 17 so I don't think that's something you think about right then and there A little update I'm in nursing school working for my RN where ever thing is taking care of including room board and education, ect in a completely different state where i make more money and i'm only working part time for the experience but thanks for the advice My ultimate career goal is to be either a nurse practitioner or to do something on the business side of nursing but thanks for the advice I know they make good money and I have all the time to acquire my dreams.
