Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hello

I am starting in March and would like to make some connections with some classmates!

thx:yes:

hey I started in july as well. I reside in Miami...

Hi ChelleLynn,

I know you posted this post a while back but it was encouraging to stumble accross it today. I am also in Chamberlain's FNP program and will be taking Advanced Patho and Pharm together in January. Any advice? A little nervous about Pharm because OB is my specialty so I am not so familiar with many of the drugs but I remember learning the drugs by their classes in my BSN program and that helped a great deal. Were the tests/quizzes every week?

Specializes in Oncology.

Hello all! I am actually expecting my first little one as well! I started the program 7/7 and will be due in April. I am going to continue taking courses without skipping a term (my little one is due during spring break, talk about timing huh!!)

Hey BMC7,

Your taking Pham and patho together? I was told we could try to take them together but usually they deny that. How did you get them to agree to let you take those two together? I have doubled my classes after NR500 and in January I will taking two other courses prior to taking Pham or Patho in March but really want to take them together, did you have to send in a special request to do this? Thanks.

Well I actually just finished taking patho at Florida Atlantic University. I put my plans to attend chamberlain on hold. I wanted to give UM & FAU a shot before I committed myself to an online program. UM is the only school I know that takes patho & pharm in the same semester

Wow you doubled your classes ! These classes are completed in 8 weeks. So how do you like it ? I've applied to FAU but if it doesn't work out then I would already be registered for chamberlain for the May term since January & March semesters are filled. How's the workload ? I'm assuming great since you're doubling up

Actually its pretty intense with three kids and working 24 hours a week but its doable for sure. You just have to manage your time and don't let yourself get behind or it will get you. A LOT of reading and papers, so for two classes it would be 4 discussion threads and 8 replies to other threads a week plus an average of one 5-8 page paper a week as of right now. Its pretty busy but again, I have three kids and work the weekends so it keeps me pretty busy. Good luck!
