I will be starting July 2014 and would also like to make connections with classmates. :)

Hey Psych, I see you are in florida. We're looking to move there from VA, do you find any issues with florida accepting FNP from chamberlain? I wanted to to register for ARNP after completing my masters but I can't find if they would accept a degree from chamberlain. Not sure if you would know?

Specializes in OB.

I'm also in Chamberlain's FNP program I started last October in the core classes as I was already enrolled in the education track. I've taken advanced Patho, Pharm, and now Leadership, good luck

Hey,

I'll be starting the FNP program at Chamberlain in July 2014 as well. I'm so excited but very nervous. :nailbiting:

How were the core classes ? Numerous assignments ? I think I'm more nervous about the core classes than anything else. I enjoyed patho at the undergraduate level. How was it for you at the graduate level ? Do the instructors have a passion for teaching and really care about the students success.

Core classes were papers, papers, and more papers. Patho had weekly tests, pharm was amazing learned alot Professors really want the students to succeed! I love Chamberlain

Thanks for responding ! Its nice to speak with someone who's already in the program. Just curious about the teachings are you all learning through PowerPoint slides or video lectures ?

I was denied at a local school for FNP, so I will be applying for the FNP or the MSN/ MBA track today. I hear classes start May 5th. I did my BSN with them and I enjoyed the program.

I hope you get accepted. I was planning to start May as well but I needed additional time for my HR department to cut the check. As you probably know grad school is expensive. I looked into other schools ( Im from Miami,Fl ) and they were the least expensive however they only accept students once or twice a year so their programs are limited access ( chamberlain accepts students 6 times a year) Im also drawn to chamberlain's format one class at a time because I work full time & I have a toddler.I also like the fact that classes are only 8 weeks long. I looked into kaplan & their classes are 10 weeks long. Going full time takes 3yrs & part time I was told to double the amount of time to actually finish the program. :nailbiting:I don't want to compromise learning but at the same time going part time for 6 years is not something I look forward too.

Hey psych nurse. I'll be starting in July with you. I live in Miramar, Fl. Anyone else staring in July ? It's always nice to make connections !

Does anyone know if an Apple labtop is compatible with Chamberlain's system ?
