Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

I know right... that health assessment template form is more like a research paper and next week alone we have exams on 11 chapters...That's way too much to handle in 8 weeks.

Akilah hang in there I will be in yr shoes next January. You can do it!!!

Open House is Saturday November 11/16/13 anyone else attending???? I am super excited....

I will be attending this Saturday as well!

I am going to open house this weekend. I met with a admissions rep today and have an appointment with an adviser on Wednesday to talk about transferring etc...One thing I keep reading over and over is the cost of the program being so high. The 7h+ credit cost is $200 per hour which if calculating correct is still cheaper than Kennesaw which comes out to be approx $230 per credit hour. Has anyone else found this to be accurate? I am worried about the finances mostly...

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

The wording is very confusing because I was calculating the same way you were! But the way my advisor explained it to me was like this: credit hrs 1-6 is $688... then anything after 6, you add $200. So if you're taking 8, you do 6*688... Then you add 400 (because of the extra 2 credit hrs)

I really hope I explained that where you can understand!

holy crappola!!! wow!! Thanks for the explanation--even though I wish it weren't so! Ehhh....I don't think I can swing that at all...I have three little boys and am a single mother with a almost 20k in loans for the past two years! I am looking at 5k max a semester at KSU so far and with 5-6 to go at the very most....Worst case scenario I am looking at 30k in debt if I didn't even a cent of help from pell...which I will...but I depend on my staffords to help with books, travel expenses and other costs related to my school. I am rebuilding my life and all of these costs stacking up feel overwhelming!!! :nailbiting::drowning:

Have you considered doing an ADN program at a community college and bridging to BSN later? Might save you a significant amount of money. Just a thought.

We all wanted that route but trust me Atlanta don't have much nursing programs compare to most states, that's why we all piled up with chamberlain. Is expensive but worth it and like the fact that they fast pace for a BSN program.

Hello everyone I hope this session is going well for you. I wanted to know has anyone received a credit from the school back yet? If you have ever received a credit how long did it take for you to receive it? Thanks so much....
