Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.
sthornton84: The days of the week for attendance vary depending on which courses you are taking. It might be just two days a week or could be three days a week if you have clinicals. Online classes are a nice option to supplement campus courses if time constraints are an issue for you. There is some flexibility with scheduling too. For instance you may elect to take a lecture and lab in the same day for the same course. However, this is not an option for all courses and can change from session to session. Example: I am taking 226, 304 and 282 this session. I have my onsite 226 clinicals on Mondays from 3P-11P. I have 226 lecture on Tuesday from 8A-12:30P. Then I have 304 lab on Thursdays from 11A-1P, and 304 lecture on Thursdays from 2P-5P. I have supplemented that with 282 online. 226 and 304 were only offered on Tuesday and Thursday this session. You do not have a choice in the day of the week for your clinical site lab. I hope that helps explain it.[/quote']Can I just say you are a superwoman to take all of those classes.

Does anyone know if we need all required books for Health Assessment and Fundamentals?
All you need for Health Assessment is the Assessment book. For Fundamentals all you NEED is the Fundamentals book. If you feel like you will have time to use the workbook, then that's ax. The Nursing Diagnosis handbook is something you will need throughout, so I would get it. You will need the drug book throughout, however I didn't use it until Fundamentals 2. The clinical calculations book, I don't know what to say about that one...depends on how good you are at med calc. The others I have not used...hope this helps.

Do you have any recommendations on who to take for Fundamentals I or Health Assessment I?
