The end of my blog.

Specialties CRNA

Published

The death of a blog. Well, if you all haven't already figured it out, I have abandoned the blog. I really did not want to, but it has become apparent to me that I need to focus my energy on school even more. Since clinicals started, I have been non stop busy. I am actually only writing this, because I just finished my last exam of the semester. Now, it is just clinicals until January.

Lately, when I have wanted to sit and write a blog entry, I have had to tell myself not to do it. If I have time to write anything, it has to be a care plan not fun writing. I really feel like I am abandoning a much loved project, but the realities of school have become a bit much for me, and sacrifices needed to be made. To everyone who used to read the blog, I would like to say thanks. I really enjoyed writing it, and I loved the feedback that was provided to me on it. I will miss writing it. I am especially bummed about closing it, due to the potentially good stories that could come out of my clinical time.

Anyway, Thank you all, and good luck to you all in your various pursuits.

Craig,

Just wanted to tell you how much your blog will be missed...I started reading it several months ago as I was preparing to go to school and found it very informative and enjoyable. In many ways, my own experiences were mirrored by yours and that was pretty cool. In anticipation of starting clinicals in January-knowing how busy I am now, I can understand why you must choose precisely where to spend each minute. Don't beat yourself up about readjusting your priorities! I hope that you continue to "check in" here and let us know how things are going...Good luck!

Jamie

It is has been a pleasure to learn from your experiences. I wish you luck in the future.

Not only was your blog an invaluable resource to everyone on the path to becoming a CRNA, but also as tome of personal insight, it has helped many of us face the challenges of anesthesia education. You have bestowed upon your readers a gift that has helped many of us along this sometimes exciting and other times daunting journey. Thank you for posting your thoughts and feelings over the past year. Good luck!

Thank you and Best wishes!

I, too, wanted to say thank you.

Hope that you have a successful year.

Regards,

Classicaldreams

Thanks so much for the effort Nilepoc..but I beg of you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider doing a blog about your first job as a CRNA, your daily or weekly duties, etc etc etc. I would love to know what it is like.....

Craig:

Thank you for your insight and the inspiration to create my own blog. I understand the time constraints of school all too well. I hope that you will reconsider your decision, as it has brought so many so close to what we have all desired.

I hope to continue mine and breathe into it the mirror of my quest, as you have done so well. I lift a pint to a friend that will be missed.

BTW How is the matzo ball soup up there? Gotta love the kosher cafeteria! Spent some time in their CICU over the summer...

Thanks for the blog Craig. Good luck.

Craig,

Thanks for the time that you've put into it. It's truely appreciated! I agree with the other poster, it would be great if you were to start a blog after you have graduate school.

Check in with us!

Brett

Thanks for the time and effort you put into your blog. It transported me back a few years to another time and place when I, too, was a student and couldn't see the end (a desirable end) in the near future. Hang in there, this will be worth the effort and sacrifice.

Nurse anesthesia school is something we can all talk about to others, but until one goes through it, there is no true comprehension of the sacrifices that are made along the way. I echo another's plea to continue/revive the blog once you are done.

May all your tubes go between the pearly gates and all needles go in the desired spaces!

PG

Good luck! And thanks for all the time and effort you put into your blog. I will certianlly miss your witty post, but I realize that getting through school is the most important thing at this point for you. You have certiannly inspired me along my own journey to become a crna.

P.S. At least lets us know when you graduate.
