I WISH we could control the number of people passing...Seeing as no one will control the number of students entering.. I really do feel a bit sorry for those of you starting out...

I'm glad some of you found this funny, as it was a serious question and the jeopardy of so-called MCR questions is not funny.

It's hard to take your question seriously. It would be more productive for you to spend your energy trying to determine what you need to study in order to pass. The computer exam system is the same everywhere. It is interesting to see that as the number of graduates has increased, the pass rate on the exam has decreased. When less than 1000 people graduated every year, the pass rate was >90%, now more than twice that number graduate and the pass rate is 85% or less. Either programs are not preparing people as well, less capable students are being accepted, or the test is harder to pass. Maybe all 3 are factors.

The exam pass rate for first time test takers has dropped by several percent since remodeling of test questions last August. The pass rate was sitting right around 89-90% before the addition of the new type of questions. Also, since programs can be put on probation/lose their accreditation if too many students fail out there maybe increased pressure from programs to graduate students that aren't academically prepared to take the test.
