Starting Georigan College in Jan 2014

World Canada CA Programs

Hi

I was accepted into the RPN program at Georgian College Jan 2014.

I accepted even though I live in Toronto, this was the only program that accepted me so I figure it is best to start and worst case scenario I can transfer to a school in TO.

Anyone, else going to Georgian for Jan 2014 any feedback on the school would be appreciated.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

anyone starting in January won't have any feed back as they haven't started yet. I graduated from Georgian six years ago.i felt well prepared when I started working. best of luck. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks so much. I meant to say anyone who has attended the school if they have any input.

I have heard lots of stuff about Centennial and GBC but hardly anything on Georgian. Did you travel from Toronto or do you live closer to the school?

Thanks

I attended the Orangeville Campus.

Specializes in geriatrics, IV, Nurse management.

I graduated from the Owen Sound Campus. You will love Georgian! Good luck with your studies OP.

I just stared the RPN program in September 2013 and I love it!! The Barrie campus is awesome. It has a brand new state of the art health and wellness building and the lab facilities are amazing. The teachers are great and Georgian College has one of the highest employment rates for PN in Ontario when they are done school. You won't regret it :)

Thanks for your reply. Can I ask do you live close to Georgian College? Did you travel from Toronto?

I live about 40 minutes south of school....I don't know if I would want to travel up from Toronto, especially in the winter...the 400 can be pretty risky

I agree the 400 can be pretty risky. On the other hand I heard of former students traveling from Toronto to Barrie.

I guess it is your determination.

I have been accepted into Georgian College RPN program at the Barrie campus would it be to late to transfer to the Orangeville Campus?

I checked it out on map quest the distance to both locations is pretty much the same Organeville may be slightly closer by 5 to 10 minutes.

Any input is appreciated.
