HELLO!

i'm sorry if this is already a thread, i looked but couldnt really find one

I was just accepted to Humber College for bachelor of nursing degree. It is my first choice, and i am just about to accept. I wanted to get some opinions of nurses who have graduated from, or are attending humber college.

What do you think of it? Is it really difficult? Did you get the placement you wanted?

Anything that might be helpful would be GREAT

thanks a bunch everyone!

ya applied for PRC on August 5th...they told me it will take two weeks, but I didnt receive it yet......but my immunisation records are not finished yet....I have to take a booster dose then am fine...I didn't take an appointment yet with paramed.....because I didnt finish my CPR..it is on september 6th and 7th...Will it take long time to get an appointment with paramed? Is it necessary to take CPR before going to paramed?

Thanks a lot friend.....:)

Yes, CPR is required for paramed. It took me one month to get my appointment. Hope this helped! :)

I got an appointment for september 27...I will be in trouble.... If they ask me to submit the documents earlier.......:(

you'll be fine !! :) and relax...while you still can.. :)

Hey guys!

I got everything done (CPR, Police Check and TB), but need to go in for a physical and some titers done to prove immunity against a few things (varicella, Hep B). The problem is, I don't have a family doctor or any health insurance right now.... and I am so tight on cash! How expensive do you guys think it might be to visit a Walk-in Clinic and get a physical and titers done???? Anyone have to pay for everything out of pocket?

The due date for submission of documents is OCTOBER 31st, 2011...:) :) :)

Does anyone know if the orientation is mandatory? And what exactly we have to do there?
