HELLO!
i'm sorry if this is already a thread, i looked but couldnt really find one
I was just accepted to Humber College for bachelor of nursing degree. It is my first choice, and i am just about to accept. I wanted to get some opinions of nurses who have graduated from, or are attending humber college.
What do you think of it? Is it really difficult? Did you get the placement you wanted?
Anything that might be helpful would be GREAT
thanks a bunch everyone!
hey guys, just a little tip from a fellow humber nursing student. There's a bookstore up the road hwy 27 and finch where the prices are normally $5 - $10 cheaper per book. Books can be really expensive so it's worth the walk. textscenter.com - if you have any questions about what to expect during your first year at humber, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck!
Does anyone know if the orientation is mandatory? And what exactly we have to do there?
orientation is not mandatory... but there are a lot of advantages
1. you get a guided tour of the school by a fellow nursing student. This gives you the oportunity to ask as many questions as you want
2. you'll meet some of your classmates
3. you have a chance to win textbooks... ie. fundamentals of nursing (that's what happened a couple of years ago)
4. you'll meet some of your professors
5. receive a frosh grab bag
I couldn't find the books list....Can you please post the list?Thank you..:)
You need to call/email Humber or wait for orientation, Aug 31st (they will give you a list then) or check your SRS humber account, it may be already there. (it is there, you just need to check!!) My program may differ from yours, for ex. I'm taking English 106 but others take 104, so you need to buy specific books for each course. It is best if you contact the school (just my opinion) but before you do that, make sure you checked your SRS account.
