    Hi eoates,

Really? That is awesome news! How did you go about making sure they would take credit for it,
or that they would recognize that you have transfer credits?

I'm just nervous that they won't know that I have courses that could transfer...

I have fmst 210 and a womens studies 230 and tons of 300-level psych courses, including 217 and 218.

    thanks!!

They tell you if they assigned credit for it once you are in the program, but you DEFINITELY will get transfer credits for the 6 libs courses from what you already have. They don't have any transfer credits for libs 7001 and 7002 though from what I know. Hope that helped!

    Hi iheartpurple,

I applied today. I handed in everything (resume, Kwantlen & SFU transcripts, application form, etc) except my official high school transcript as I am also taking one course that ends the first week of August. After that course is done and my mark has been posted I'll be handing in my high school transcript. I was told to go back to the registrar and fill out a form that they provide, then they will hand that off to Nursing selection committee.

And thank you Smiley for answering my questions a few pages back

Hi! I have been creepily watching this conversation for the last couple months, but have now decided to join it!

I applied for january 2013 yesterday- handed in everything that I had, including reference letters (probably not necessary, but the enrollment guy told me to just give him everything possible), transcripts from high school, UBC, and douglas, and resume.

I am SO NERVOUS already, and the cut-off for applying hasn't even gone by yet!

Hi, I hear ya with the nervousness. I feel like I've been waiting forever already. Just wondering though - were your reference letters hand written? Cause I thought they give reference forms to complete to people that are shortlisted in October.

No- they were just official reference letters, from my job (starbucks...) and the hospital I volunteer at. I definately just read about the reference forms earlier today, so it was probably a total waste of paper handing them in. Hopefully it can't hurt, though!

And, I also feel like I've been waiting forever!

Does anybody know if you have to provide documentation for completing Libs 7001 and 7002? Or will administration already have it on file when they are looking at our applications?

    Hi everyone!

I've also been obsessively creeping these forums so I thought it was time to actually join A little about me...

I've got 90 post secondary credits, I'm a volunteer with CNIB, have done ESL mentoring (helping ESL students improve their reading and writing) and have volunteered on a crisis line for the past year.

Does anyone know if they take into account your high school grades? I was a pretty good student before I slacked off in post-secondary (boo!)

Wishing everyone luck for the January 2013 intake and I hope to see you guys there!

    Hi Chhun!
You can always contact the nursing department and write them a short letter describing what you just did and in this way they will keep in touch with student records. This is what I did! Hope this helps

    Hi Pepsi! lol

Yes, they do look at your High school grades, however, if you did not meet the high school requirements you could take some equivalent courses that they offer at BCIT or anyt other colleges and universities. I know quite a few people who have done that.

    Wish u all luck!

It will take a couple of days for your information to get into the system. They will send you an email to your BCIT account once they processed your application. Was it just your high school transcript and resume that you handed in?
