Seeing as it's almost time for the start of the August 2014 intake applications, I figured it apt to start this thread now. :D

This will be my second time applying (applied previously for august 2013).

Currently working on finish my second A&P course and will be finishing my undergraduate degree next semester!

Let the waiting begin~ :)

Thanks so much i will do it right away I paid for the commitment fee so thats good...I did the hcp course in may at burnaby trauma tech so thats nice and the fit test I have a date end of june I believe

I haven't done the CPR or the fit test yet...I think they have to be re-certified annually so I'm waiting for as long as possible before I do it! Did any of you do the TB skin test at the beginning of June? I had it done but I'm not sure what to do with my results. Were they automatically given to the Nursing department or do we have to send it in?

I didnt get my tb teat throughout bcit so I submitted mine by fax to the student health sevice then i called the nurse and she told me I had to come in to look over my immunization form....so I came she asked me a bunch of questions then she said that I was cleared for clinical in august..the only thing is in the fall I have to come back and get the flu shot ..but the nursing students get it first..

All the forms that we need to sign, do we just bring them plus the hcp certificate and the fit test to the first day of class? Or do u know if they want them before?

They want that the first day of class

Anyone else having trouble with the Immunization Review form?

I have no records of any of my vaccinations in the past. :(

Omg yes...it was so hard...the nurse at bcit understands though she said that its our age group....I basically had to get immunized all over again with two shots of the mmr because I had no records

I remember calling BCIT and they said to just do an Antibody test if you have no records?

Did you bring the form to the BCIT nurse or a local clinic?

It is due soon and I have no idea how to proceed... x_x

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

If you go to your family doctor, they can give you a lab requisition for blood work and check where your levels are at! And if anything is low or needs to be updated you can have all that done at BCIT I believe!

Hi everyone, were you guys sent an email after being conditionally accepted telling you to check Desire2Learn? I only got an update from myCommunication, is that the same for the rest of you? I'm just worried I might be missing something :o
