Hello, I recently applied for York and UFT accelerated nursing program. I am very nervous of not getting in! Does anyone know the cutoff for last years accelerated nursing program for UFT and YORK?

I just wanted to wish you good luck with your acceptance and hope you enjoy allnurses. Others will come along and help you with your questions.

Just wanted to say I'm also applying for UofT nursing this year and I hope we both get in! I don't know what the competitive cutoff is but when I went to the open house fair the Bloomberg had they said they will not look at your application in the first round unless the gpa is above a 3.3 in the most recent 5 fces.

The cut-off for York is around a mid B. If you can get your cGPA in the B+ range, your chances are significantly improved. I'm in the program, we just finished our first semester. I don't mind answering some questions.

Probably the best advice I can give prospective students at this point is to make 100% sure your pre-reqs are on this list, even if you're a current York student: http://futurestudents.yorku.ca/sites/all/files/pdfs/ug-equiv-bscn2.pdf

Hi xibb, I actually have a question about your post a few months ago where you noted several late acceptances in August and I was wondering how you found out? Like the OP, I am also hoping to get in for the 2015 entry but I'll probably be on the wait list so I was just curious how you found out =)

People were joining our class fb group in August saying they just got accepted. I don't have a number though.

I see, thanks!

@xibb- I wanted to make sure that as an internal student all I am responsible for is to "change my degree" on the york website to the second entry nursing program, and take the nessciary courses with great grades. Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks in adavnce!

Nope you're not missing anything! Just submit your change of program request before the deadline and that's all. No need to send transcripts or proof of enrolment. Good luck! :)

Hey xibb, just wondering what your cGPA and GPA in the last 5.0 credits were when you got in!

Also, could you comment on your overall experience in the program so far? (Sorry if it's too broad of a question.)

@cb45770 and to all other internal applicants: What is your overall gpa and last 30 credits gpa? I'm a bit worried about the competition :( I'm anticipating by May an overall gpa of 6.5, and last 30 a 7.0. Hopefully that will be enough :(

I will appreciate your responses, hopefully we all get in! :D

I know the cut off gpas vary each year but does anybody know what York's cut off was for last year? Also, do you guys think a 3.1 will be competitive enough?
