CRNE OCTOBER 2012

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hi everyone! I am an IEN from the Philippines batch 2009 I moved here in Brampton last November 2010.

I took the May 2012 CPNRE (first time) and still waiting for the results which will come out on June. Apparently, I just received my RN eligibility and so happy because it took me almost 14months (from the start of application) to wait for this. I thought CNO will make me take some courses. I was really estatic and relieved when I received the letter, because I am really rooting for RN.

Now this is it! Anyone else who are planning to take the October CRNE? :)

Let's use this thread to share our thoughts regarding preparation and questions. :)

Hi all,

Its seems all are very busy with the exam preparation because I did not find any recent posts here.

Anyways, guys do well and I am very tensed about my exams after reading all the old posts and moreover I am IEN.

Please tell me how you all are preparing for 3 oct exam. Now its only 1 month so how to study in these days.

Please do reply.....

:tinkbll: Goodluck to all of you!!! Always remember to keep in mind the competencies for RN. It will really really help you to answer the questions correctly since most of them are psychosocial types of questions. And also, TIME! TIME! TIME! 4hours is not enough for 200 questions, so you need to read it fast as you can but with analysis and critical thinking. I still remember when I wrote the Feb 2012 exam, I only have 5mins left before the time-off and I wasn't able to review it again all through-out. God is good i passed...

Just Pray! Dream! and Believe and you will PASS and survive!! Good luck future colleagues.

Four hours is plenty for 200 questions. Many of us had at least 20 minutes to spare. However, you're right....time management is essential. You need to be well prepared before you walk in there, and watch your time. If you've timed yourself with the practise exams, you'll be fine.

Hi guys,,i just started prep for the October CRNE, my third and last chance, in prayers and hope. :)

Davetoronto,

The October CRNE is in three weeks and you just started preparing? Also, this is your third and final chance? If I were you I would highly consider backing out of this exam and plan to write in February.

Good luck with whatever you do decide.

Agreed. Not very wise to write the exam for the final attempt in October when you are just preparing now. How much do you want your RN? If I were you, I would contact the College and ask to be transferred to the February exam. In order to ensure success, you need to be well prepared. Three weeks is not enough time for you, IMO.

i know guys but,,i dont know i feel im left without choice,,because even if i wish to appear for rpn its gonna take another 6-8 months for evaluation and stufff,,so dont know...i belive i should try hard every sec, so in hope an prayers:up:

:tinkbll: GO! GO! dave!!! you can do it.. you still have three weeks to review... I have a friend who had the same situation, she reviewed for ONLY 2 weeks and PASSED!!! We have different kind of techniques and strategies, one may work with another and one may not.. So this one might work with you dave, all the best!! just read! and read! and read! and of course keep in your hand your critical thinking... its an easy exam dude... :)

God bless you... Keep us updated...

As per terms of service, Davetoronto, please post using proper English and grammar. No text speak please. It's difficult to read. Also, since your goal is to become a professional, you may as well practise this. You will not be able to chart using text speak either. Thank you.

I graduated in 2010 and failed CRNE twice. How many years after graduating from nursing school do we have to write CRNE. I thought we have 5 years to write. Am I right or wrong?

Yes, I believe you have 5 years to write and pass the CRNE after graduation.
