Hi everyone! I am an IEN from the Philippines batch 2009 I moved here in Brampton last November 2010.
I took the May 2012 CPNRE (first time) and still waiting for the results which will come out on June. Apparently, I just received my RN eligibility and so happy because it took me almost 14months (from the start of application) to wait for this. I thought CNO will make me take some courses. I was really estatic and relieved when I received the letter, because I am really rooting for RN.
Now this is it! Anyone else who are planning to take the October CRNE? :)
Let's use this thread to share our thoughts regarding preparation and questions. :)

I am taking the exam on October too. I got my eligibility on March and it only took me less than 5 months to get the result. I am from the Philippines also. What are you doing to prepare for the exam?
Hi jvre888! wow you're very lucky to have been assessed within 5months.. me and my friends took awhile before we were given our letter of direction. i haven't really officially started reviewing for the CRNE coz I wanted to rest after reviewing for my CNRE. but i registered to CARE for nurses' exam workshop/prep course which is starting on Monday.
How long have you been here in Canada? Where in Philippines are you from? :)
Hi jvre888! I can't send private message to you coz I don't have enough posts for me to enable private messaging.. just add me on facebook: [email protected]! :))) we can talk there more conveniently. :)

Hi farpadana, i am taking the full month comprehensive prep course in mississsauga, it's the Nurses Education Inc. I attended their full month course for my May CPNRE exam, and i was satisfied with their course and I will take their course again for my October CRNE. They offer comprehensive review for the first 2weeks and the last 8 or 10days will be all mock/comprehensive exams taken from previous exam questions and we did rationalization and brainstorming. I improved my test taking strategies and was able to know how to approach CNO style of questions. It's kinda pricey but worth it. They have high passing rate for the past years and the instructors are RN's and RPN's. They have branches in Mississauga and Toronto and they also have in Alberta. They've been established for 19years already and one of the first CRNE review centre accredited by CNO. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a stockholder. haha. I'm just saying this based from my experience. :)
Don't go to Toronto School of Health, i've been hearing bad reviews about it. I heard good reviews about Toronto School of Nursing though. But it's up to you.

Hello there when is your group getting together for studying
Can you please get back with info on your group study for the October write please
There's no study group that is set yet... Maybe let's push that this study group happens... Any suggestions???
Hello there and thank you for getting back. YES we should push to formulate a study group therefore let's put up a sign board to invite others to join the bigger the group the better it is for all members to study. Also I think we need to consider location first which will be the driving factor in this whole thing so again asking participants where they live ,, informing them that preference would be close to downtown (which is where I am located) preferably commencing all meetings at a centrally located libraries accessible by subway like Metro/Robarts /North York. The other thing is it will strictly be a study group by which I mean to say that all members will read the same topic and then we DISCUSS the topic do that we understand for better prep because the CRNE isn't just answering it I'd solid knowledge and then understanding the nature of how to approach it.
Hope to hear from soon
