CRNE in oct

World Canada CRNE

Hello!

just wondering if anyone who took the exam last oct heard news when are they releasing the exam.

It is almost 6 weeks and i'm getting nervous about the thing. :o

sometimes i just try to forget it. :uhoh3:

hi borik1234. yup I submitted all my requirements last july 2007 and I already received my eligibility from CNO this first wk of december. How about you? I do'nt have yet my IELTS so I'm planning to take that first this January and I'm planning to take the June or October CRNE. THe CNO also encourages me to take the course: Nursing in Ontario under CARE (Center for Internationally Educated Nurse). I do not know yet what to do, I just tried my luck in CNO and fortunately got my eligibility. I do not have any employer yet. But i am planning to get a visitor's visa for the exam and try to get an employer directly from Ontario if that will be possible. Hope somebody can help.... THanks

hi azrael527,gudluck to you,,how many courses you take in ontario?are you work as nurse before?how many years?

hi borik1234., thanks but I am also from the Philippines and I took my nursing here. I just graduated last March actually, so I do not have any experience as a nurse yet. Do you also plan to take the CRNE?

hi azrael527,im planning to take the CRNE,but my friend in toronto told me that nurses from phils is equivalent to diploma program in ontario that is why THEY required them to go back to school for 2years for BscN DEGREE,,im just wondering because your eligible to take the CRNE inspite that your in the phils.right now,,maybe your so lucky,,

Hi borik1234, when I submitted the requirements for assessment, the CNO mailed me a question and answer form which is for the equivalency program. Why not try applying? you may be as lucky as I am.

I did not pass my October exam also. It was my second time. Next time I'm gooing to try Feb. just tired, no words... and it is after York University . So sad......

Hi guys ! Congrats to those who passed !!! and to those who did not make it.... try again ! Don't give up! go for it !!!!

By the way, could any of you please tell me how you're able to get an employment there ?

Hi macoy2003,

The thing with the CRNE is that it is very different from the NCLEX. Where as the NCLEX has a very technical focus the CRNE is more of a psycho-social focus. Spend time understanding the questions that the CRNE will ask because this will be the toughest part of the test. Go to this website for access to the prep guide ect, as these are the only resources that will help with the CRNE. http://www.cna-aiic.ca/CNA/nursing/rnexam/preptools/default_e.aspx

Good luck with your test

hi every body ;I took the CRNE exam on 6 feb 2008,it was multiple choice question and I was my first attempt ,it was really difficult and not sure about the pass mark ,the question were very complicated and tricky so i wasnot able to answer them confidently,is there any one else has the same feeling.good luck for every body:bugeyes:

I took it Oct 2006, same multiple choice/short answer as always. I felt the same way. The questions were not clear, the test was WAY too long (and on paper!!) and I didn't feel confident at all, but after a long 9 week wait, I passed.

I have heard that some of those questions are test questions for future tests and will not be counted, and if a bunch of people get the same ones wrong, they will throw the question out (although you never know that). I also heard that if you get the equivalent of 70% on the test, then you pass. Don't worry about it now... just put it out of your mind... the results will come, eventually. Good luck!
