Waiting on my LPN license

U.S.A. California

Happy Mother's day to all the mother's out there!!!!!

I recently got a passing letter on 4-9-07 and mailed my $120 for my license that day.

Does anyone know how long will it take for the BVNPT to post my license number online? And also will it be online first or I will receive my actual license through the mail? Or is there a way to speed up the process to get my license number?

Thank you!!!!

I received my passing result by mail on January 9, and mailed the check to the California BVNPT on that same day. My name and license number appeared on the BVNPT website on January 20.

If you mailed it on 4/9, it should have been up for a while now. I would call them to see what's up!

Do you have to wait until your name and license number "appear" in order to work? How does that work?

If you completed an LVN program, but do not yet have a license, you can work as a 'GVN' (graduate vocational nurse) with a lower pay rate than a fully licensed nurse.

To work as an LVN in California at full pay, most employers require a copy of your actual nursing license. It's an issue of checks and balances. They check to see if you appear online, then they require a copy of your license. It's to ensure that unlicensed imposters don't get hired.
