Hi Everyone!

I didn't find any threads for USF's ME-CNL Spring 2013 cohort, Anyone planning on applying?? Anyone currently in the program who can give some advice??

Specializes in Emergency Medicine.

Thanks... I got a phone call and the letter of being accepted....Good Luck!!!

ReordonaSRN - Congratulations on your acceptance. However, I am a bit confused regarding which MSN program you were accepted to. Your username suggests that you are a "State Registered Nurse - SRN"? USF has three different pathways you can apply to in order to receive your MSN. Those that have an Associates Degree (RN) for Spring 2013 at San Jose Regional Campus, those that have a BSN (RN) for Spring 2013 at also San Jose Regional Campus and lastly, MSN for the Non-Nurse at San Francisco Campus only for Spring 2013. The impression I got, was that this thread was for the ME-CNL program for the Non-Nurse to MSN Clinical Nurse Leader. Would you mind verifying which MSN program you got accepted to? I was informed by student services that we would hear back at the end of November (next week), which seemed to have been the trend for past cohorts. Again, a huge congratulations and hopefully we will all start hearing back soon :)

Oh... SRN actually stands for Sigma Rho Nu... and yes I am licensed in CA. I am actually going through their MSN CNL Online Program... This program was better for me since I work in the ER... I didn't know that this thread was just for non nurses any confusion I apologize... Good Luck to you... ?

I think you could be a great resource/mentor guide for these entering students They are lucky to have you.

ReordonaSRN - Nice! How do you like working in the ER?

hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had heard from the program yet? I know that my application was complete and reviewed, but I haven't got any kind of letter. When do you think we will hear.

kodibear - Hi. I was told that they received more applications than expected for this cycle. We should hear back by the end of the week.

Hi all,

I also applied, and I called them today and was told the same as telencephalon. The days are dragging by so slowly!

Also, kodibear, how did you know your application was "complete and reviewed"? All I've seen via the Application Summary webpage is that my application was sent to the department.

Ah, here you guys are!! heh, i couldnt find a thread. I am DYING waiting to hear. Someone in the BSN thread said they'd spoken to a counselor who said they mail out groups of letters on Fridays. I dont know if this is true or not. I'm seriously going nuts waiting to know. Where is everyone coming from? I am in So Cal and am a single mom with a 3 year old so will have a LOT of figuring stuff out to do if I get in. Its my #1 choice but I just wish they would let us know already so I can start making arrangements. Good luck everyone!!!!!

Hi superfryk-- I'm glad you found our thread. Now we can all be anxious together!

USF is my first choice too. I'm a Bay Area native and I really don't want to have to leave for nursing school. I graduated from Berkeley in 2010 with a political science degree so I pretty much had to start over from scratch. I have been taking pre-reqs for the last two years. I'm ready for nursing school!

I got a BA in English Lit in 1996... I ran an advertising agency for 9 years but after giving birth to my son took some time off and then decided I wanted to do something worthwhile with my life ;) I too have taken the last 2 years doing pre-reqs, I am ready to get to the next chapter now!!

I am so so anxious... I asked my mom to go by my mailbox at noon today to check for me as I'm working on the other side of LA and know my mind will be wandering all day long wondering if i got anything. I hope if anyone on here hears they let us know at least that the letters truly are arriving!
