UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

Did you get a formal offer through email? Or a reference check so far? Or did you just receive the call?

I received a call from the unit director to give me a heads up to wait for human resources to send me the official offer.

I got a call from Pediatrics about an hour ago for a position

Congratulations! Which Peds unit will you be working at? When did you interview and how many interviews did you have? Did you have to do a reference check? Sorry for all the questions, lol. TIA

Not that I know of. Both my friend and I applied and interviewed but haven't heard yet. When I spoke to the UD last week, she said "around the beginning" of this week. Grr!!

She didn't give me much regarding how many they were going to hire. Even during the interview when I asked she only said the number fluctuates and theres no specific number. I heard from a previous friend that the most recent cohort was 9 new graduates and the previous cohort was 6. Other than that she informed me that I would soon recieve a call from talent requisitions.

Hey Sweettarts123, I actually emailed the unit director two weeks ago and she emailed me back last week. She said the decisions have been made and that I should be hearing from recruitment soon.

I haven't heard back, but I know some people have already heard back from that unit. So Im just assuming i didn't get it

I just emailed the unit director of Neuro/Trauma ICU. She was surprised that some of the people who interviewed for the unit did not receive decisions yet. She said she will contact HR and see whats up.
