Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

any idea how long until we get calls for interviews (hopefully) Also, what is the interview process from here?

I would love any information too, just not sure what happens from here!

Did anyone apply for 7N CCU, Tele/Obs, or Cardiothoracic ICU? Good luck everyone!

it seems like everyone applied to L&D and peds! those were my top 2 choices too.

I applied for the CCU and CTICU and MICU. Did you have practicum in any of those units or do you know if that would be of any help? Good luck to everyone!!!!

To those who applied for the winter cohort, how long did it take before HR responded after the close of applications?

I chose Peds/PICU/NICU. Lots of Peds people! Let's hope they have lots of openings :-)

For the letter of recommendations, does it have to be from clinical instructors???

Smuffins, I called HR about this. One must be from a clinical instructor, the other can be from any other nursing instructor.

Does anybody's application status still say "online assessment pending"? I completed the assessment immediately and completely and even the link says its 100% complete. But it's still "pending" after 5 days... I even called them and they changed it to complete several days ago.. But it's back to pending!

Anybody have any ideas?

I applied and attached all the documents necessary but I didn't see any assessment to take as indicated in the instructions. Please help!

I applied to Oncology, Med/Surg, and Ortho. My preceptorship was in Oncology! Good luck to everyone...
