UCLA New Grad RN 2013

Published

Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

Does anyone know when they are supposed to conduct interviews? I remember reading they would be during July 1,2, and 3 but I'm not sure where I saw that lol.

I remember reading July something as well. It was probably in the job posting which is no longer there. :p

Thanks! I knew I saw that somewhere :)

Thanks for this thread, I am glad I am not alone in the waiting game. I applied to Neuro/Trauma ICU, Neurosurgery and Onco. At least you have one fewer candidate competing for NICU, Peds, L&D. Good luck to all!!

I applied to geriatrics, tele and med surg. I too hope to hear back from UCLA with good news . good luck to all of us.

Specializes in PACU.

I applied to ED, OR, Tele/Observation unit.

Hey guys! my application status change to routed to interviewing supervisor :) how about you guys?

Mine still says online assessment completed

Specializes in Medical Surgical, PHN.

Mine's still "online assessment completed". What unit did you select and what when did you apply? Thanks for keeping us posted. :)

I applied at ER, Cardio ICU and Neuro ----- oh by the way i forgot that i applied internally! maybe thats why ..

Mine still says online assessment completed too, but it is good to hear that statuses are changing whether internal or external :) .... And yes I remember the job description stating that initial interviews would be July 1-3.... hopefully that is when people will get calls from HR or talent acquisition people.

Awesome! Where do you work now? If we don't get this new grad position for specialty areas, can new grads get jobs for other floors like med/surg?
