Hey guys, just thought I'd create our own thread so it'll be easier for us to communicate with each other without having to read through all the updates on the other units. Good luck to us all!

I talked to the UD today and the topic of her hiring experienced nurses came up. She said that she usually doesn't hire so many of them, usually just 1-2 but she had a lot that applied. She said that she was hiring mostly RN's with ICU experience.
I know it seems off that she's hiring experienced nurses for the new grad program, but the only requirement for the new grad program is to be within that one year mark after graduating.
The interview wasn't too long, fairly short. They only asked a few questions...nothing about clinical scenarios, patho, or pharm. just more "get to know you" questions. They said that I should hear back in a few days. Praying for the best!

@Jayelle314RN - Hoping to see you post that you are on board there soon!!
Appreciate the feedback and I hope to reapply in the fall - in the meantime will work on getting on board anywhere that I can serve and get experience too!
It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. I called her yesterday and she said that she'll know within the next few days, which is what she said last time. I guess no news is good news for now.

Ahhh! Hang in there! you made it this far you can do it! =D
I wanted to thank you ALL for all of your support and best wishes throughout this entire thing. You guys have been amazing and so nice, even though we were "competing" with each other.
I got the call today and was offered a position in their new grad program! I am beyond excited and extremely grateful.
I wish you all the best of luck and recommend reapplying if you really want NTICU at UCLA, that's what I did.
Thank you and good luck to all of you!
