Santa Rosa JC Fall 2010 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Has anyone applied to this program for this Fall? Have you heard anything yet? I was told we would find out by the end of April, but there's not a specific date.

Thanks!

I applied back in October and am so antsy to hear. I haven't heard anything yet, though. I hope it's soon! :D

Yay another SRJC applicant!! I'm super nervous. I applied to a few CSU's, but at this point, I think I have a better chance at SRJC. (I don't have a 4.0 and with over 300 applicants with only 33 spots, you really need a 4.0, or be bilingual AND have volunteer exp AND work experience) Plus I'm right down the street from the jc! My goal is my masters, so that's why I was hoping for a CSU, but I guess I can do an RN-MSN program.

How did you find out about hearing at the end of April? I pretty much surmised that we would hear something at the end of April to the end of May based on previous applicants experience on this site.

I applied to Mendo, SRJC, and Napa Valley. Mendo was a no go but I'm not surprised since it's a small program. I'm on the waiting list for Napa Valley but it's 2 years long. I really hope I get into SRJC. I'm so ready!

I was just too curious to find out and I emailed them a few months ago asking when letters would go out. They said there is no definite date, but "most likely not until late April".

I too applied to Mendo, a no go for me as well. I wasn't able to apply to Napa because I couldn't get to one of the information meetings due to school/work. :(

I hope we hear from them soon!!! Are you currently a student at SRJC? Is this your first round of applying? Ill keep my fingers crossed for us!! As soon as you hear something, post it! Ill do the same :)

The information meeting was a giant waste of time. I don't think they should require them to obtain the application. I went and suffered through, though. LOL

I attended SRJC last fall to complete FDNT 162 (the supplement for FDNT 10 that covers diet therapy). I actually live in Lake County so no matter where I go, I'll have to drive pretty far every day. This is my first round of applications and I'm hoping that I'm lucky. How about you, is this your first round?

As soon as I hear something, I will post! I can't wait, I hope it's good news!!

Ya, they should totally get rid of that meeting then! I too am from Lake County!! Well I used to live in Clearlake for high school, but I've been living in SR and going to the JC for the past 3 years. Small world :)

Yup, this is my first round of applying. I have heard of many people waiting YEARS to get accepted. Lets hope that wont be either of us. I could imagine waiting 4 more years, UGH! But then there are those who get in on there very first try! (That'll be us!!! :yeah:) Haha

Whoa, I can't believe you lived here, most the time no one even knows where Lake County is, haha. Did you graduate from LLHS? What year? I graduated in 02, I'm a bit late on going back to school.

We'll be lucky, I just know it! (And because I might freak out if I don't get in, LOL.)

I know! I don't get how people don't know about lake county, it isn't that far from here! I actually graduated from Zemorah Christian Academy. It's in Clearlake, very small. I graduate in '07.

And it's never too late to go back to school! :) Ill def let you know if I hear anything!!

I applied, too. Still haven't heard anything yet. I applied to College of Marin also. Good luck!

I applied to SRJC as well, and I'm getting so nervous! I'm also getting married in June, and up until now I've been able to distract myself with wedding stuff but now that we are almost into the last week of April I can't stop thinking about when that letter is supposed to come in the mail. I'm starting to have doubts like, "what if I didn't fill out the application correctly and they disqualified me right away?" AGH!!! I hate this waiting game! Please do post when you find out so I can at least make sure that I should be receiving my letter around the same time. Good luck everyone!!!!!
