Hello all, i'm so happy but sooooo confused. I got accepted to both Los Angeles Harbor College and Los Angeles Southwest College for the Spring 2011 semester. I'm greatful but now comes the hard part. My parents want me to attend Harbor but i'd like to get all of your opinions about which RN program would be better. Would love to hear from someone who may have attened both and can share with me the pros and cons of each program. Thanks for any and all advice/comments :)

Anybody out there? I'd greatly appreciate any info and/or advice

What school did you end up choosing? How do you like the program?

I ended up choosing Harbor College. And its been a struggle. I'm sure it was the best decision for me, but the program is definitely a challenge though. Almost finished with the first semester, then i get a break for summer =)

HELLO!!=)

i have the same situation as you=/ i got accepted into la harbor and southwest and don't know which school to pick=/ i know little about both schools. how did you liked la harbor?

hi doglover14!

i went to harbor college and it was an outstanding experience.it is an extremely tuff program, but it prepared me for nclex. they have a very high pass rate(check the BRN). where do you live because the 2 schools are in opposite directions. i went to southwest for a few prereqs as well.

thank you for replying=) i live in whittier=) southwest is closer to me. but i am really confuse on what school to pick. what i been hearing about both schools is, la harbor is a really good school but really hard. southwest is not as hard as la harbor but they are really nourishing=) how did you survived? if nursing school is really hard and into of that harbor makes it harder.

I am also a LAHC grad and I can tell you firsy hand, it is a great program. Yes, it is challenging, but you come away from it really well prepared. You also come away more marketable, several area hospitals still interview and hire LAHC ADN grads. I can't personally speak regarding Southwest, but if you choose LAHC, I think it would be worth the extra bit of commuting ;)

@yginay thank you so much for replying and for your advice!:) did you decide to do the bridge program:)? And also how did you survive harbor :)
