Anybody else get accepted into Pacific Union College that is starting in January 2016. I received my letter last friday and couldnt be happier. :)

Hello ae1021, I too will be attending PUC in January 2016. Congrats on getting in.

Hello my fellow classmate S_H318.:) My name is Ashli what is your name? Im so excited that we got in. Im also nervous as well. Do you happen to know anybody who attended PUC before?

January will be here so fast so im taking the time to brush up on my nursing material.

Hi Ashli, my name is Sylvia and unfortunately I don't know anyone that has gone through this program. It would he great to know someone because I'm interested in how the financial aid part works. Since the official program doesn't start until January but we have to get our books and take that course in November. I'm very excited for us.

Hey Sylvia. I totally understand where your coming from regarding the finacial aide aspect. I submitted my FAFSA back in March of this year and so far I havent been fortunate enought to recieve any financial assistance. Im searching for scholarships and grants but so far havent had much luck. :sniff:

Anywho, I look forward to meeting you. Maybe we can become study partners eventually, if you live close, (I live in Fairfield).

Yes, I look forward to meeting you as well. I think I'm going to call their financial aid office to see if they have any helpful advice. I'm probably going to have to get some private loans cause I usually never qualify for financial aid. Do you know how much the program cost? I've been looking everywhere but can't find the amount. I guess I never asked because I didn't care I just wanted to get in. I'm glad the class is small so we all can really get to know each other and hopefully help each other through this process.

Specializes in Admin.

I don't know about financial aid. However, I know two people who went through the program and they both loved it. AND... they are both excellent RNs.

HEY! congrats on getting in...I'm sending in my application by Sept 2015...i'm SOOO nervous! Can I ask how you did on the TEAS V and your prereq grades? I feel like I am hanging on by a thread to get in. I was told by my nursing advisor the average person applying got a 75% on the TEAS V and had a 3.4 GPA...definitely NOT me. lol....I've just been praying someone feels bad for me hahah

Hello FTRRNKT, I had to take the TEAS test twice. The first time I bombed it and the second time I got a 72% which is so much better then what i got on the first TEAS test. My gpa overall was a 3.3. So I guess your nursing advisor is accurate with the students that the program has accepted.

With my pre reqs I receieved A's and B's. Hopefully you get in, I cant wait to start. Orientation starts in October so I look forward to what they will inform us on. Good luck to you!

Hey Sylvia, are you ready for orientation in October? Im soooooo excited to hear what they have to say. Have you completed your financial aide yet? Im currently applying for scholarships to help me pay for books, I heard the books cost $1,100 approx and that we will pay this during orientation.
