Hi,

I am currently waiting on an acceptance (or denial) letter form National University BSN program at the Los Angeles campus. I applied to cohort 11 that starts in May 2014. Anyone else applied for this cohort? If there is anybody already in the program, do you mind sharing the break down of your scores. 3 more weeks till I find out

Hi,

I also applied for Cohort 11! This waiting is killing me! Anyone that was accepted in the last year willing to share their scores??

Hi guys, I was accepted into SD Cohort 38 that starts in 2 months. I got an 82 TEAS, all points for attempts, 26(?) points for GPA, and a 4.5 on the essay. There's a huge range of scores accepted to any cohort, but it does feel better to judge your against someone who got in.... I was right there with you just a couple months ago. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi Salpal287,

Good luck to you! Is this your first time applying to National? Are you applying to any other nursing programs. I'm soo nervous!!

Hi MJOHNSON,

Congrats on your acceptance! Thanx for responding, any information helps. I still have no idea if I'll get in, some of your scores are higher than mine... Good luck in your program!

Hiii! Yes this is my first time applying to National. I only applied to National thus far. I don't have organic chemistry and I think a lot of schools with accelerated programs want you to have taken ochem. Have you applied to any other schools? Any suggestions on where else to apply?

When I took the teas at national, they said we'd find out our acceptance/denial by March 1. Until then, we wait.

Also, in your SOAR account, what does your "Application Status" say? Mine says TEST SCHEDULED.

National University has the Chemistry Class you need for the program. its not Organic Chemistry. I am starting my Pre-Reqs with them in April to get ready for the Accelerated BSN. They currently don't require it but the requirement is approaching. They have changed their curriculum.

Thats coming from my Enrollment Adviser for National University.

Thanks! Orientation next week! It all depends on the cohort too. Someone who got accepted to mine got a 1/5 on the essay and someone else got a 67 TEAS. It just depends. The highest total score accepted was 94 and the lowest 83. The average total score was 88 and the average TEAS was 83. A couple of alternates were accepted to my cohort too as a couple people deferred for financial reasons. Your advisor should give you the same info if you ask. Keep your fingers crossed and good luck!!!

Hi MJOHNSON,

How do you know that alternates (for 38) were accepted already? I'm just curious because I am an alternate and haven't heard anything...do you know people who were already contacted for a spot? I wonder if I just wasn't high enough on the list...or maybe those spots you mentioned haven't been filled yet - here's hoping! Thanks for your post :)

I know that someone from my cohort deferred their spot so I would assume the first alternate on the list was contacted. We're you still given all the information about orientation and all the emails about the program so far? If someone doesn't show up to orientation on Tuesday, they are automatically withdrawn from the program. So I would assume alternates would have to be informed of the procedures, right? I do know that some alternates were getting CPR/AED certified along with members of my cohort. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Thank you! Yes, I've had to set up the gmail account and I got the cpr notification...the lady from the nursing department told me that NONE of the alternates would be informed until orientation day (don't know if this is true, though). I asked her if I should go ahead and do the cpr and she made it sound like there would be another class and that I should wait. Uhg. I wonder if it would have helped me to just go to the first one. Being an alternate sucks, lol - I guess its better than a denial though :) They won't tell me anything, just to show up at orientation. Thanks for the info & well wishes - and congrats on getting in!

That sounds like it would be true. And I don't know of any alternates that are FOR SURE in the program, I just know of the one accepted that deferred. So just know that there's a spot open!
