U.S.A. California

Hi everyone!

I just recently applied to nursing cohort 38 starting next April in San Diego. I'm currently waiting for my teas and essay date. I'm so anxious to find out if I've been accepted or not but I've been told we probably won't find out until January or February! Is there anyone who is in the same boat as me? Hope to receive some replies on here! :)

Thank you for your reply. How long is the wait to find out if I get in the program? I will be done with the science info literacy by May of 2016. And I will take the biomed stats at national the following month.

I'm actually still waiting to see if I will get in the program or not. Hopefully I will. Im scheduled to take the proctored essay exam and the TEAS this coming August 27th. So basically, as soon as you are done with all the prereqs, u can start applying to National University then u would also have to do a separate application to the Nursing dept and they will email u a schedule to take the TEAS and the proctored essay once u meet all the requirements. Then the waiting game begins

Oh I see, so before you applied, you took anatomy, physiology, micro, biomed stats, literacy and research, and thats it?

Because I am confused whether or not we need to take spanish BEFORE we apply as well as other general eds. Or is it just those I listed above?

Thank you for your help and sorry I ask too many questions.

Yeah I took all those before I applied and I believe u also need to take a speech class. I took Comm 103 at Miramar. U can go on the NU website and check the link for Nursing and you'll see all the prereqs classes u need to take before u can apply.

ohhh.. I thought it was just those. :(

That means I still need to do one more year at Miramar. Because this school year I have all my science classes and english and speech. I didn't know we have to take the spanish and general ed as well prior to applying.

@Redson1107 Hello! I was just wondering if you took your science classes at NU? And is anatomy and physiology in the same course? They're not separated? How long did it take you to complete your pre reqs?

I took all my science classes and other prereqs at Miramar and Mesa College. I only took the Biomed Statistics at NU. It took me about two and a half years but i took a semester off that's why it took me longer

I took Anatomy and Physiology as two separate courses

@Redson1107

I see. Did you take them with a full course?

Hi how are you? I know this is an old post but I was wondering what your essay prompt was for the proctored essay ? Also hope your program went well
