Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

Willowita: Ah, then I'm sure we were sitting in the same room. Funny how this message board connects people.

If anyone is worried about not getting a letter in the mailbox to go to today's preregistration, I remember hearing at the TEAS test that there would be 50-60 accepted students? It didn't seem like 50 people were at the preregistration, so my guess is that they may be having two preregistration sessions.

Quick question. Aside from the lab and vaccination stuff we need to get done, are we also supposed to get a physical?

Well, I called this morning and the person I spoke to just said to follow what was in the health clearance packet. If it's not in there, then we don't need it. I don't have the packet with me right now but I don't think there was a physical form in there.

If it helps @ all. I posted earlier in the thread. I attended half semester @ LA county this year and was so relieved about not finishing through because it was so much stress and anxiety due to for personal circumstances. I am exploring all my options and all my nursing friends stated the same thing- nursing school is hard across the board but NOT as hard as County. However, they said that having graduated from their respective schools never kept them from a job. Hearing this made me feel refreshed and encouraged that there is a right school for me. So now, I hope whoever reads this post that they not be conflicted about your decision if its pointing away from County... You will be a nurse regardless what school you end up attending. I am going to study for my TEAS again since my score is what kept me from BSN and entry level MSN programs, which is the route I wanted from beginning. I am thankful I attended County for a brief time because now I know what I need to practice and study for 2nd time around. Seeing the life as a NS has motivated me to really make priorities with personal and social life so this 2nd time around I finish through a program with the least amount of distractions. All schools lead to an RN!!

Does anyone know of any places that are still giving the flu vaccine? Went to my doctor today and she didn't have it.

------------ said at the pre-registration that they will administer our Flu vaccines during school because the Flu season is over and no one has the vaccines anymore.

I do remember her saying that. But some people on the PCC thread were saying that a few places still have it. The funny thing is that I did get the 2011-2012 vaccine earlier this year through my work but I don't have it documented, so it doesn't count.

How's everyone doing with their to-do list? I'm doing my BLS class this Sunday. Getting closer to being done with the packet.

Called County again, and they're still in the process of sending out notifications (for those who haven't heard anything yet). i've been calling every other day, and the lady at administration said "we're still in the process of sending out letters and you'll get them when ready." I called and spoke with a deeper voice than normal, so that they wouldn't recognize me lol also got some info about humanities and the history classes and if you took multiple humanities they will pick the one with the highest grade, same applies to the history and polsci classes. good luck everyone
