    NICU was my first choice. No status change for me yet. I can't believe people got rejected already... that was quick!

    I'm a BSN. I'm thinking it might be because I have a few months of RN experience already. Some programs seem to be OK with less than a year and some don't want you to have any.

    that's unfortunate that they would only be hiring locals. darn it! there's good new grads everywhere.

    I'm trying really hard to keep the stress out/freak out level down since I think all these places we've been applying to will start calling around for interviews. It's so disheartening to not hear my phone ring...

    I feel like that teenage girl waiting for the prom date to call... LOL... checking to see if my my phone is on.... thinking I hear it ring when it really hasn't... i'm about ready to ask someone to call me to make sure my phone is working... LOL

    LORD save us from ourselves

    I applied to Med/Surg 4th floor. I put the app in at around 2pm on 4/2 because it seems that the first apps have better chances? I have been at this for a while!!! This will be one of my last attempts at a New Grad program because I will very soon not qualify. I passed boards in Feb. 2011 and I have 7 months at my current non-acute, Full time RN job. I have a BSN, PALS and NRP. I also worked for Rady for over a year during nursing school. Peds is my dream. I am praying...THIS IS THE ONE. I do not want to get stuck here at my current job....No status Change yet!!! PLEASE LORD!! :bowingpur Good luck to all!!

    triple good luck to you! i'm in the same boat as you... almost to the point where i won't be eligible for new grad programs b/c i've been out of school too long. i just want a job. goodluckgoodluckgoodluck!
