Anyone Applying to Antelope Valley College RN program

U.S.A. California

I didn't see a thread on AVC nursing so I just made one for everyone. IS anyone applying to AVC nursing or in the program already? The person working at the department told me it would be like 3 semester waits. I'm expecting to get in around fall 2011 or spring 2012 since I turn in my application around October 2010. Anyone in the program already, would you please share your experience. Anyone who is about to get in the program, can you please tell me how long you've waited since the time you turn in the application?

Thanks everyone!!!

Third watch which program are you doing? The generic or bridge?

I'm on the waitlist for the generic program. We should get some kind mail from the program in November. I already passed the TEAS at another program. Make sure you study.

What did you use to study for the TEAS?

What did you use to study for the TEAS. I applied in early July. Hopefully we will be hearing something in the next few months.

MS1908- I used the study guide that you can purchase through ATI. I also used a couple of other study guides to make sure I grasp the whole concept.

Got accepted into the Spring 2014 class! Woo-hoo! I cant wait to finally start!

congrats !! Which program did you get accepted into? Generic or the bridge? Good luck!

Thanks. The one I am in is the generic.

When did you get the letter?

Joshash07- when did you apply to AVC?

I want to know that because it looks like she apply around March or so. That means, I might not make it to the next class. :cautious:

I haven't received my letter. I talked directly to the dean who told me I am in the program (my number is within the first 10 on the list). My application was turned in about this time last year (Sept 2012). I took my Teas test in April 2013. So by the time I start the program, it would be about an 18 month wait time. She said official letters of acceptance would be sent out in November. My number was bumped up a little because of my Teas test score. When I took the teas, I was number 90-something on the waitlist. So if you haven't taken the teas test yet, try to score as high as you can because it will help in your placement.
