Any Psychiatric Technicians in CA not finding jobs?

I graduated from a PT school in 2001 but haven't worked in the field. Now I just renewed my license and looking for a job. I was just wondering who is hiring in California.

I think you should apply to all psych facilities that state they need lvns. My employer hires LVNs And psych techs but I think only advertises for LVNs

You're probably also gonna be the bottom feeder knowing that you haven't had experience or practice in nearly a decade in a half. That's like mega old new grad. Maybe look at assistant jobs at those facilities and work your way up ?

I have seen ads for PTs frequently in the Los Angeles area. I believe there are one or two now running on craigslist.

I saw a web page filled with Psych Tech position. In fact, I'm transfering to a facility where there's pt positions. I'm not a pt though.

The department of corrections are desperately looking for Psych Techs. There are plenty of registries out there that will place you. You just have to look at Craigslist in the areas where you will find correctional facilities. Good Luck
