UoPX/CEP Program

Hi! Although I was able to find a few CEP threads, they were aimed towards ASU/NAU, so I decided to make one for the University of Phoenix! I have a newer time stamp but will be done with the prereqs for UoPX after this semester, and should be able to apply for the program in February.

My GPA I think will be around 3.3, possibly higher - with HESI scores both at 92%. I plan to retake the two classes that I got a C in (the rest I got A's) next semester, since I don't think I'll get accepted right away with that GPA and new time stamp/no degree. At the latest CEP info session, they said the average gpa is 3.5 and that more and more people are applying.

How long have you been waiting? What's your credentials? I'm curious what stats people had that got into the cep through uopx have.

I am currently in the UOPX CEP program. I had a 3.24 when I applied and I didn't think I would get in, but I was accepted within a week. I retook a class that I got a 'C' in because it bothered me, but I didn't have to because I got in with them using my lower GPA. I would apply asap and see what happens!

Congrats! From what I read the uopx just became an option this year, so most people got in. Hopefully that's the case for next year, as it seems like most people are going for the nau asu option.

Hello there everyone, This is my last semester also before applying to the cep program with NAU or UOPX. I did hear that NAU has about 150 openings, and UOPX has about 30 openings. I think no matter what your GPA is you should apply it doesn't hurt. Good Luck

Check with an advisor, because it is my understanding that ASU will not take a higher grade in a class that has been taken more than once, so don't waste your time and money. ASU requires a GPA for 3.5 and UOP and NAU require a GPA of 3.0. NAU and UOP will take the higher grade in a class if you retake it again. Just talk with an advisor and watch your other classes.

I do believe that is correct about ASU not taking higher grade in a class that has been taken more than once. I have heard that two.

Your best bet it to contact the community college and talk to one of their advisors. They will know what your talking about and help start you on the process for applying.

Most everything start at the CC level and makes it way to university.

I just got accepted to ASU/GATEWAY. I have a 3.0 gpa. My hesi score is 87% for English and 100% for math. I also retook BIO 201 and they accepted the higher grade when calculating the GPA. So you shouldn't get discouraged if you want to try for ASU. It was my #2 choice since NAU is cheaper, but I'm just happy to be getting started on this highly anticipated journey.
