I just wanted to start a new thread for questions and/or just conversation about Spr 2018 cep placement -maricopa cc/university.

Congrats to all that were able to apply or reapply for CEP!!! Good luck! (I am anxiously waiting) ( :

I'm waiting to hear from GCC weekend, and now I am getting nervous!

Congrats and I look forward to meeting you! I have not heard about any groups, but I've been searching on Facebook to see if there's any groups for people of our class, but no luck.

People usually wait till their blocks starts to make a Facebook page for the class.

Have any of y'all hear back yet for spring 2018 acceptance yet? I applied at Phoenix college April 26 and I'm starting to get worried :( do you guys know if they send an email stating you are accepted or not accepted or do they only send something if you get accepted and leave you hanging if you don't? The wait is killing me!

Unijack Congrats on getting in! Are you as nervous as I am? So excited yet nervous at the same time. Trying to find a good plan finacially that will work me through! =) I wish all the uni classes were seperate.

Yes - excited and nervous! I've applied for FAFSA, and hope to receive the Pell Grant which is great. You can also apply for loans via FAFSA which are low interest. Additionally, I am applying for scholarships.

Acceptance emails started to roll out last week. I don't know if each college is on the same timeline though. I applied to EMCC and heard about 5 days ago. I think people are still waiting on hearing from Phoenix, so don't worry too much quite yet!

My understanding is that acceptance emails go out first to allow for the student to get prepared/fill out the necessary forms etc. Decline emails will follow on. I hope you get it - I hope everybody who applied gets in!~!!

I do remember seeing EMCC has a smaller class size. I'm wondering if that is why it doesn't state it? Did you find out?

The class schedules and sizes, plus the % of seats allocated to traditional ASN and CEP, are different for each college.

For example, Estrella is 100% CEP, has 24 seats, and is only offered as a traditional schedule. Glendale is 100% CEP, has 96 seats, but spreads those 96 seats out over 3 different schedules: traditional, evening, and weekend. Scottsdale, on the other hand, is *up to* 50% CEP, with 90 seats.

Since some of the CCs have a mix of CEP and ADN students, I would imagine that their selection process takes a bit longer. These colleges include Gateway, Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler/Gilbert, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley. I think that's why not all the acceptance emails go out at the same time. Only Estrella and Glendale are 100% CEP, and their acceptance emails went out in the first "wave", from what I can gather.

I got my acceptance letter from Phoenix college! And funny thing is that the email says it came 4 days ago lol..... but I checked last night and it wasn't there!!! Ahhhh well all that matters is that I got in lol! I can't wait to see everyone in class!

At this point I'm probably close to being enrolled in the ADN enrollment. I've been on the nursing list for a year (applied in May 2016) while working on finishing CEP pre-reqs.

I didn't even realize you could apply without having everything done! I applied April 26 of this year. But I am guessing it was so fast for me to get accepted was because I have all pre and corequisites completed. What are you still missing? I'm sure that once you have all those courses completed it should be an easy acceptance :)
