Is September a good month to come to visit there? Im thinking about coming there for an event at the convention center in September. I want to explore Phoenix when I come. Any suggestions on where to stay (hotel) near the convention center. I want to look at apartment complexes in the east valley also. Oh, dont forget I want to party also. I'm looking forward to visiting so I can make my decision if I want to move there. My main concern is will the hospitals there match my salary here in Chicago for RN.

The convention center down town? Stay at the clarendon, Hotel San Carlos, or if your really out to break the bank, the wyndham. depending on your age, there are alot of good bars in the downtown area, but if your looking for a younger scene hit mill ave. If your coming early in the month look for first friday, a monthly arts festival held downtown.

The Hyatt Regency is right across the street from the convention center. I'll be staying there in August for my Gold Canyon convention.
As far as it being a "good" time to come, it will be hot still.

Sept. is a very hot month. Honestly I think Sept. is one of the worst months just because we're all so ready for a break in the heat by that point and we're tired of it being 100 degrees at night. But really it's as good of time as any to come visit (unless you visit between Nov. and May).
If you want to party, I'd suggest checking out the Tempe/Scottsdale area.
Good luck to you!

Yes Katie, I asked this question on that forum also, and I asked here also because I'm trying to go to a nursing career fair during that time, so I asked the nurses here also. :wink2:
