Hello All, I am a Nursing student and have heard alot of contradictorary information regarding new grad pay, but of course this is all hearsay from other students so most of us really dont know what we are talking about heh.

I would like to know what is the starting new grad pay, RN pay. I have heard it is between $19-$21 so I am trying to get some clarity regarding this isssue. And also what company ie (banner, apria, jcl) is paying THANK YOU!

$19-21 sounds accurate. I'm in Prescott, where new grads are paid right around $19, and I believe Phoenix generally pays about $2 more for comparable jobs.

ok thanks!

Same goes for New Grad jobs in Tucson.

depends on the facility and the area of the country. If you drop by, or call, the Human Resources of local facilities they will be able to tell you a range of salaries and may even be specific for new grads. Pay is not the only issue. What about other benefits, including insurance, tuition reimbursement, continuing education (we have to get 20 CEU each 2 years for license renewal. This costs $200-300 publically but our hospital provides all 20 free). You might make a grid to compare facilities.

awww, I didnt know about the CEU's and costing so much as well that is good information to research on...I will find out when I do my clinicals...thanks
