Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

I am unable to attend any tradtional so it looks like I will be waiting it out almost 3 years, unless something opens up between now and the next few placement runs

I, too was accepted to SCC for Spring 2015! It was my 4th choice however. I was hoping for a night and weekend program. But, I've been waiting this long, I'm excited! My timestamp was 12/12 8:00:58.

Now to have the conversation with my employer that I want to go to part-time. This will be a toughie for me. I"ve been there 10 years.

Anybody know what days and times the SCC program classroom and clinical are?

Good luck!!!

Good luck!!!

Thanks. I'm 40 and this will be my 2nd career so I really don't want to wait until next Fall. I'm really really hoping I can convince my employer that I can make this work and still be a good employee.

Just got my acceptance letter for spring 2015 MCC late start Hybrid!! Now what to do.....put it off and apply for CEP in Feb. or go ahead with it? AAAAHHHHHHH Decisions decisions!!!! Gawd I don't know what to do and they are only giving me 2 weeks to decide. Ugh.

SCC block 1 for the last two cohorts had had a Tuesday theory lecture from 8-12:30 then lab is from 8-2:45 on either Thursday or Friday (depending on what your clinical day is) and clinical day and time is never know until closer to start because the school bids for spots then schedules students in the days they could get. But that will be one 9 hour day a week starting at the the 4th week. The first 3 weeks you will have a pre clinical class from 8-5 but I don't remember what day. I think maybe Mondays. And you will have two CLA lab simulations days that will lost likely be on Wednesdays. The schedule can kind of be all over the place so you will need a flexible employer.

Hello everyone!

I got accepted today as well, I was lucky enough to get my first pick the accelerated program with Gateway Spring 2015. Anyone that has any information on how the program works or any tips would help so much. At this point I am clueless on what to expect or how this will work. My time stamp was 10/12/2012 08:00:50AM.

I did choose the schools with the most available spots every reaffirmation (not sure if that helped). Either way very happy!!!

How did you find this out? Is it the public and overall capacity spots on the nursing page? I never understand what those numbers are because like right now emcc says 7 spots...they only take 7 people this semester then?

Hi I just joined, but I have been reading this thread for awhile to get information. So happy for those that got placed for spring 2015. I was hoping that maybe I would be placed too. My timestamp is 6/13 8:02 so I know I have a slim chance. Does anyone have any idea on how many placements they typical do per semester?

Yes, from what I understand the number is the amount of available spots in that program for block 1.

When your time stamp comes up you have 14 days to accept, if someone defers or doesn't accept in time that spot is open for the person with the oldest time stamp for the school. So ideally they happen every other Tuesday up until they fill all the spots for that semester. I have seen up to 7 or 8 rounds..

Really?! So this semester emcc will have 7 students in one class? That just seems incredibly small and that's why I never understand what those numbers really represent...I mean overall vs public...none of the spots are actually public since there's a waitlist! I feel like maricopa could do a much better job at making things less complicated and confusing when it comes to many areas of their nursing program (info on the websites, placement, timestamps etc) it's so frustrating.

I know.. It takes a while to find all the information, it's possible they have different programs that they feed into it like CEP or partnerships with hospitals.. Honestly not completely sure since all my girl friends have gone to the scc or mcc program...
