Maricopa Question

Are any of you from Maricopa Arizona? Can you tell me how you like it? What the nearest hospital is? and are there any colleges there that are good? for nursing of course:lol2: we are looking at houses in that area and I'm trying to get a bit of a heads up from you all. Any info. will help.

I have only driven to Maricopa to pick-up family from the Amtrack station. No offense but it pretty much looks like a one horse town. Lots of new housing in the middle of nowhere, about 25?mins from downtown Phoenix. I'm not sure which is the closest hospital, maybe Chandler Medical or Maricopa Medical Center. Hope this helps!

Are you talking about the City of Maricopa or Maricopa County?

Maricopa County is huge and encompasses Phx and most of the Phx metroplex.

The City of Maricopa is actually in Pinal County, about 20 minutes from Chandler (and that's with little to no traffic). The closest hospital would be Chandler Regional. Maricopa Medical Center is in Phx, nowhere near the City of Maricopa.

It's a growing area, but unless you like driving quite a bit in bumper to bumper traffic (there are only 2 lanes in and out), then I wouldn't suggest it. It works for some people, but I couldn't do it.

Any of the colleges and hospitals would be at least a 30 minute drive, and if you want to widen your options then expect the drive to be much more than that.
