CEP Feb. Applicants

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi all! Anyone else applying for the CEP program through Maricopa Community College during this upcoming application cycle? I'm applying for the GCC/NAU program and was curious if anyone else is applying this semester as well. I'm hoping I make the cutoff - the program is becoming really popular really fast!

I am so excited for everyone and hope you all get the schedule you wanted. I believe I picked Mondays/June class, but when talking to the advisor I thought she said they just wanted to get a rough idea on what people wanted. Not sure. Did any of you future nurses decide to take the fast track option?

Definitely hoping for fast track here!

Now I'm totally worried because I didn't get that email from NAU. :( I'm hoping that's not a bad sign. I thought I had pretty good stats - 3.7 GPA and 94/100 on HESI. I applied for the GCC/NAU traditional as my #1 choice.

I wouldn't worry I didn't get an email either I thought it was because I had already signed up for NAU way in the past. Your GPA is great and your hesi is even better. I think this is just a slow process.

Whith that GPA and hesi I wouldn't worry about not getting in :) maybe it got sent to your spam folder? Everyone has really high GPAs and hesi scores this go round, I think we should be fine, but what do I know lol. I picked the June/Monday option but I think you are right about it not being a for sure thing. Either way works for me. I am not planning on doing the fast track, I know someone who is doing it and loving it but I don't want to overwhelm myself more than I already will be.

Does anyone even know how they score your GPA, hesi and previous degree? Or what they look at first or is it all together?

When I went to the info session I believe they said they assign points. You get a certain amount of points for GPA and hesi and then point/points for previous degrees. They said that GPA is the most important followed by hesi. But I'm not sure on the actual numbers involved or how exactly they calculate it.

From what I remember the advisor saying, they have some scoring rubric that they go off of. So you get X amount of points for your GPA, X amount of points for HESI, and then an extra point for having the AGEC.

Geez, I hope you have nothing to worry about because my stats are 3.68 and 96/98. If you don't get in - I most likely won't get in!!

I think we all have a great chance of getting in. All of the GPA's I have seen on here are great. I'm really surprised not to find more students on here from maricopa.

I never got an email from NAU :(

The suspense is killing me!!!
