Hey everyone,

I am a current post-bacc student at ASU. I wanted to start a thread for all of you who are applying for the 2017 class. Last year we had amazing support from the 2015 class, so we wanted to carry on that tradition and provide you all with the same support system. Feel free to use this thread to ask questions and seek advice. Many of my classmates will be on here answering your questions as well!

Good luck to you all!

I'm super excited to meet everyone!! Could someone please message me the name to add for the Facebook group? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving :)

I messaged you guys :)

I have a question for the current class. So we have to do a drug and alcohol screen before we begin the program. Obviously we shouldn't be doing drugs but how extensive is the alcohol screen?

Hi there just curious if any of the current students use nrsng.com to study and if so do you like it? Thanks

Hi Fellow Classmates - FYI: if you are trying to complete your drug screening, Sonora Quest Lab contracts out their drug screenings to AZ Clinical. I spent a few hours today getting that figured out with CastleBranch. They kept telling me it had to be through Sonora Quest but S.Q. kept saying they don't do drug screenings. So.....finally CastleBranch figured out that AZ clinical is fine. I hope everyone else had an easier experience, or that this info will help some of you. :)

Thanks for posting that, I'm guessing that you just saved a lot of us a few hours figuring that out.

Will someone please add me to the FB group? Thanks!

Hi tried to add you on FB, not sure if you got it? Initials EH, tried to private message you but it's not letting me. thanks

Graduated in 2015 from this program, good luck!!! Get ready to study your ass off! haha (also you can find a lot of the books at Goodwill, I spent less than $150 for books in this program by going to Goodwill's and Amazon/Ebay)

Hi everyone, I am in the traditional program starting in Spring 2017 so I know it is a little different, but can anyone give me advice on working? Do you work at all, one day a week, weekends?

Also for those who are in the program currently or have completed the program would you recommend getting hard copies of the books that are required, that way I have them later for study purposes (nclex exam) or will renting or ebooks be just fine?

In regards to uniforms I saw someone say that black shoes with a different colored logo are fine, if the bottom/sole is white is that fine as well, or literally all black? How many scrubs and polos did everyone get as well?

Thanks!

Hi everyone! So I am very nervous that I will not be accepted into the program. I have a 3.83 GPA but got a 74% on the TEAS leaving me with a 1.6988 advancement score. Does anyone think I can still stand a chance? I don't care if I get into the summer or fall, I'll just be happy if I can get either.

Does anyone know how many spots there are for each, and about how many people apply?
