ASU Rent or Buy Nursing Books
Thank you! I'm so anxious and excited can't believe it's a week away! But it's 8 or 9 books plus 2 access codes

ASU Rent or Buy Nursing Books
honestly this has been the most helpful information, so thank you so much! Everyone else has been saying that they buy books so cheap and I just didn't understand how with over 600 dollars in access codes! If just the first semester is bad I can deal with that! :) hopefully I just have to buy from them this semester! Thanks again!

ASU Rent or Buy Nursing Books
For this semester there is the $1039 package that includes the ebooks of : concepts for nursing practice, fundamentals of nursing, med surg nursing, pharm for nursing care, calculate with confidence, health assmt/physical exam, drug ref, nursing diagnosis, and the online access for NCO 2.0 nursing concepts (good for 3 years of access), and in addition to all that it says we need an online code for NUR 336, something called shadow health, which is a seperate $125. I'm just trying to find out if there is any way out of spending $1200, unfortunately I don't know anyone entering junior 2 this spring. If I could find everything cheaper to rent I would do that, but there are some I would buy such as the ones you mentioned, but I'm just unsure of the online access

ASU Rent or Buy Nursing Books
Can anyone tell me if they were required to have the online access codes. I was going to buy/rent everything seperate since it is so much cheaper but for the spring 2017 semester there is a $1039 package that includes all the ebooks and an access code. When I looked it up the access code is 499 by itself! Any advice?

Miss cassie how did you find the books so cheap? Also how did you avoid paying for the online programs? I usually would do the same but the one online package is $500 separately

So I found out the 1 access code cost 500 dollars separately for the nursing concepts online access, looks like I'm stuck with the $1039 package

Sorry for all the questions but 1 more, do you have to buy the books from the book store? They have an ebook package that's 1039, I know I can buy the ebooks cheaper on amazon, but they were telling me that I can't buy the access codes seperate and they only come with the package. I usually do everything through Amazon because it's a thousand times cheaper, but is the book store the only way? Do you know anything about this?

are there any packages that come with both the ebook and the hard copy?

any advice on textbooks? I usually like hard copy but I heard that many people like ebooks for searching for information. Also would you advise to buy the books or rent? Is it better to keep them so you have something to look back at for the NCLEX? Also how many polos, scrub top and bottoms did you find necessary to have? Do you have to wear them everyday even in class or just on clinical days? I also saw that all black shoes are required, is it fine if the symbol on the shoe is a different color? For example, nike's symbol is usually white or gray on a black shoe. Is it okay if the sole/bottom of the shoe is white, or just all black? Thank you very much for answering guys!

Hi everyone, I am in the traditional program starting in Spring 2017 so I know it is a little different, but can anyone give me advice on working? Do you work at all, one day a week, weekends? Also for those who are in the program currently or have completed the program would you recommend getting hard copies of the books that are required that way I have them later for study purposes (nclex exam) or will renting or ebooks be just fine? In regards to uniforms I saw someone say that black shoes with a different colored logo are fine, if the bottom/sole is white is that fine as well, or literally all black? How many scrubs and polos did everyone get as well? Thanks!
