is anyone familiar with jefferson davis community college in brewton? i've applied and am awaiting my answer which should come by late october. wish me luck!!

Does anyone know of any programs in the Mobile/Pensacola area Associate Degree Programs that are still accepting students?? I really don't want to wait until the Fall to apply...Any feedback would be great! THANKS!

ss303, I don't think there are any schools that will accept you in for spring this late in the game. JDCC has specific application periods and I believe the one for fall would be this spring sometime around April, so if you want to get in for fall you have to apply then. PJC you can apply anytime and as long you have fullfilled all of the requirements (pre-reqs, nln test, hrc, etc) you will go on the waiting list, but I heard they are already full for fall and have already started the list for Spring of 2011. I'm not sure how any other schools in the area work, but I'm sure they are similar in thier requirements.

I am also waiting and it is driving me crazy. I had thought I did not get in because I have not heard from them but now that I found this post I feel somewhat better knowing that you have not heard anything either. I am on pins and needles with ya. Good luck and I will let yall know if yall let me know also.

At school on Saturday, I heard from someone who called JDCC for a status, that letters will go out right before Thanksgiving. We should all know by Thanksgiving. Lets hope that is true!!!

I talked to the nursing college at Jeff Davis this afternoon...the letters were mailed out yesterday so we should know something by the end of the week. :) I'll post when I get mine! Good luck guys!

I did not get in -- I also did not realize that the next admission wasn't until August of 2010. Not happy right now...

Ok, I got my letter and did NOT get in - not even on the alternate list. B-friend checked on his lunch break. I am praying for the rest of you.

So sorry Presnall - if you don't mind sharing - what was your score? Mine was 138. Just wondering where the threshold was. I know after this term I would get in so far I have an A in Micro so if I kept that up, I would have a 168...at Faulkner they didn't even look at people with less than 170 and they are changing their admission requirements too. A little confused about what I want to do now. Considering moving back to Jax...FCCJ has a May program with a Feb 1 admission deadline.

i also received my "thank-but-no-thanks" letter today; it was a tough day for all of us. :crying2: tabaque, my score was a 151 and like you, once i finish micro it will improve...probably to a 181 (given 30 points for an "a"). best wishes to you ladies, let's keep in touch and let each other know what happens.
