NVC does not know whats happening!

Just checked my case with NVC and they(call center) told me that they (NVC) have not sent my papers for CP since my pd is aug 2004 and they are processing june 2002! I asked about the newly released visa bulletin for scheduled A workers, she said that she do not know that as far as she knows, my case is being processed under E3! what the H___! Is this is what's really happening or that agent do not know anything? does someone know what's happening?

Am starting this thread to track cases that has been sent from NVC - CP - interview schedule to know the developments of the processing as a result of the ammended june visa bulletin.

Your experienceand input is very much welcome

Hey Suzanne, we miss you. Any word from your other foreign nurse friends about their processing. It's been a while since you last posted...

Thanks for missing me.............actually worked 75 hours over a 7 day period so not on much this past week.

Most that I am actually working with right now are in the US already. Haven't heard from any of the others since appointments are starting to be posted in Manila. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Were just somewhat excited with all the developments, i hope we have reasons to be excited. Thanks!

I was being instructed by my agency to update and complete all pending items (vaccinations and that of my dependents, etc) VERY VERY soon. And I may opt to review FULL TIME for NCLEX. This is in response to my inquiry yesterday about the status of my case. Unlike before, their response is always safe like because of retrogression, blah, blah and when the retrogression was lifted, please wait 6-12 months, blah, blah.....but now, look at their response. :rotfl:

Hmmmmm, I think they are smelling something happening in a very near future :rotfl:

If you are planning to call the NVC and talk to an operator, FORGET ABOUT IT! Only the Automated anwering system will attend to you and DON'T wait for an operator anymore. They are saying that they are answering so many calls right now. Something is being cooked in NVC and I love the smell of it! :chuckle

There is absolutely no reason to take one of the review courses over there if you have been reviewing on your own already. I still recommend Saunders for their review book, and it comes with its own CD-Rom.

Send me your e-mail address and I will send you the articles that have helped all of the others pass the first time................... :)

That will be great! You're really heaven sent.

Thanks in advance, will expect it. Do you also recommend Lippincott?

Use Saunders. They do the best job of explaining the rationales behind each answer, and that is just as important as actually doing the questions.

I recoreded your e-mail address before I removed it. This site is actually Googled all over the world and I don't want you put on a spammer's list.

Please send e-mail addresses via personal message, much safer that way. :)

For nurses in the philippines waiting for their consular interview schedule, heres a new development that I got from a very reliable source. I know you already heard people getting their initial appointments (to check document completeness)...but from what I have heard, this will be the new "strategy" of the consulates to expedite the processing of schedule A cases!

My networks from other corporate companies(not hospitals) are confirming that they are having difficulty getting immediate appointments from the Manila embassy for non-immigrant visas, even if their companies are "preferred" companies. (For those who worked from corporate office, you know what I mean). They also shorten their service for non-immigrant visa processing. According to my source, they are doing this to allocate their resources to facilitate processing of immigrant visas! If you want to check it out, try calling the call center for non immigrant visas, it used to be a 24 hour hotline but now it is only from 8am - 6pm.

I strongly think that this is also happening to the other consulates. Remember, during the time of retrogression the DOS also pulled out personnel from NVC to do other works? Now it the other way around, they allocating personel to help expedite processing immigrant visas, and you know what I mean when I say immigrant visas, nothing else but schedule A/EX categories!

So i'll borrow Dale's line, hold on to your seat and expect a speedy ride. This short window is an opprtunity to spen time with your relatives and enjoy your local delicasies before you fly (3-6months) to USA and work your brains out! :rotfl:

Let's enjoy the moment. Life is what happens while your planning and waiting for your dream. Let's enjoy the journey as much as the destination! :)
