Hi there!
Just wondering if anyone else has applied to the Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) ADN program for Fall 2018? This is my first time applying, but I'm thrilled to have even reached the place of being able to apply. Does anyone know what is considered a "good" index score for YVCC? I'm nervous, hopeful, and excited!
Thanks and good luck to all that have applied!
Darn! Maybe you'll get it later this week?
Did you confirm with them that your application had all the necessary requirements to be reviewed? Did you get the mass email on 09/28/18 that explained that all the letters had been mailed? You might want to try and contact them to confirm that everything was rec'd and reviewed, here's the email that was at the bottom of the email I got: [email protected]
I hope you get a letter soon!!
Does anyone know what the total cost of first quarter ends up being? I think the document they posted online says about $3, 000, but I just was wondering if anyone in the program maybe knows what the cost might really be? Do we really have to buy white shoes? Do we have to buy certain scrubs?
I'm applying for Fall 2019 start and had a question for folks who started the program recently -- what's the class and clinical schedule like? I emailed Rebecca and she gave me a generic ballpark of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm daily, with clinicals anywhere from 6:45 am - 7 pm, but said she couldn't give me even a sample schedule because things change each quarter. I get that, but I'm trying to figure out how many hours I'll realistically be able to work + what my life will look like, so anyone willing to share theirs would be appreciated!
Thanks.

This is the newly implemented way to calculate your score for the YVC program.
(GPA-2.5 ) x 160/3 = GPA points
example: (3.5-2.5) x (160/3)
(1) x (53.333) = 53.333 points for GPA
also, TEAS score is up to ten points possible
example: 85% = 8.5 points acquired for TEAS
