YVCC Fall 2018

Published

Hi there!

Just wondering if anyone else has applied to the Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) ADN program for Fall 2018? This is my first time applying, but I'm thrilled to have even reached the place of being able to apply. Does anyone know what is considered a "good" index score for YVCC? I'm nervous, hopeful, and excited!

Thanks and good luck to all that have applied!

Yeah, we got a paper with our acceptance letter that said the book bundle was 600something, plus a couple more books not in the bundle. The bundle ended up being 800 and I bought another book totaling $890. But there were two out of stock I still have to get plus an optional one that I'm going to get on amazon.

Anyone apply for the YVCC Winter Nursing Program? I was hoping to hear of people getting acceptance letters by today! Fall quarter letters came fairly quickly I thought.

Hello @Amanthos02, i apply to winter quarter!!! I was hoping too!!

I still haven't heard anything yet either, maybe next week sometime? I'm not sure what the turn around time is, but I was thinking they have probably been busy with Fall quarter having just started :)

I am hoping that not hearing yet is a good thing. My last application was ineligible last time due to me not sending my transcripts to both admin and nursing. I heard a week later in July. So maybe everything went through this time and I will either be accepted or DENIED. :) Checking the mail everyday is such a let down when it's not there.

Cant wait to hear when we all start getting our letters!

Just thought I'd share an update that I still haven't heard anything quite yet, just in case there's anyone else out there that's anxiously awaiting news :)

Another student applying told me that Rebecca stated that letters will be sent out mid-October

Well, October starts next week, so we're getting closer! lol It's like waiting for Christmas morning! I think because the Fall letters came so quick (mine came in about a week) I was thinking that Winter would be about the same, but it makes sense with the on-boarding of new students and the beginning of a new year, that it would take longer.

Did anyone receive their letters yet? I got an email saying the letters have been mailed out... but haven't gotten it yet... just checking cause I'm getting excited!

My friend dis and said the lowest number accepted is 45.

Did everyone receive their letters?? Is someone still waiting for them?

Hello! I rec'd mine, I didn't get in this round, but I've already sent out my letters to be prepared for the next application round in January. Did you get yours??
