Yuba City College ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi! has anyone applied to Yuba's ADN program for Fall 2020? If so, has anyone received their notice if they were accepted?

@KarinRaz7 Thank you! I also have a question, if you don't mind! Are there any dosage calculation tests/quizzes in the beginning of the program? It's been a while since I've taken Pharm, so I am going to start practicing to refresh on it. I'd like to know if there are any in the beginning of the program so I can focus on practicing in case I'm accepted!

That’s actually a great question I wish I knew before hand! You will need to know pharmacology and nutrition actually! We just finished week 1 and it hasn’t come up quite yet but it will be in the next few weeks! So I’d refresh up! But once you’re accepted you’ll be instructed to purchase an ATI package which will include a pharmacology and nutrition book you can use to study from as well!

@KarinRaz7 Awesome, I'm so glad I asked! Thank you so much, I'll try to find my notes so I can start refreshing on all that.

The first week has focused on the nursing process, nursing diagnosis, and vital signs.

I just started my second week at CCSF and our first week looked similar to y'alls. We're starting clinicals next month tho apparently. Have you been doing skills lab online too?

You got this!! What time was your app time stamped? I have a feeling you’ll get in!

@KarinRaz7 Thank you! I really hope so. This has been my dream for as long as I can remember! My timestamp was 1:25am.

I am so happy to come across this post.  I am going to apply for the next available cycle, I guess they are adding stats as a requirement.

@kendravisker714 I'm so glad you found it as well! Yes, I saw that they are adding Stats to the next application cycle, so that would be for the Fall 2021 cohort. Did you mean you are applying for this cycle, for Spring '21? ?
