I was falsely arrested due to my ex accusing me of chasing him with a knife in Kansas and when I up and left Kansas and applied for my RN license in California I gave them all the information in regards to my arrest but never convicted. I was given diversion and the initial arrest was domestic violence but dropped to a lessor charge. I was first denied my license by the BON at first and appealed it. I received my license 2 years after applying for it and was put on probation with stipulations. I'm not allowed to work in home health, travel, and it must be under supervision of another RN.
I worked in Labor and Delivery for 7 years but was at the same hospital for over 12 years. I worked my way up from dietary to CNA to ward clerk to LPN to RN and to have that taken away from me has been the hardest thing. I have lost everything and now that I have my license ( for 2 years now) I still have not found a job! Living on Central Coast and it's not easy to find a job with this probation hanging over your head. I have ready so many blogs with this similar situation.
Yes actually after reading another persons Blog about how they applied to DaVita a dialysis company, I looked them up an applied a few days ago. I hope they can help me.
