I enrolled in the four-day live Hurst Review course several years ago and enjoyed it for the most part. I felt it was an excellent review of basic nursing content that candidates will need in order to pass NCLEX.
If you need a comprehensive review of nursing content, go with Hurst. However, go with Kaplan if you need detailed strategies on answering NCLEX-style questions at the application and analysis levels.

I just finished the live hurst review. I felt like I got my money's worth! However, I haven't taken the NCLEX yet...... That being said, this review is for CONTENT....You can't answer the questions right if you don't know your stuff, right? It pulled everything together I learned in nursing school and condensed it down, making it easier to remember and understand. Hope that helps!

I did the hurst review before my NCLEX and I thought it was AMAZING!!! I went on to pass my NCLEX in 75 questions. I think it is a great tool.

If you are disciplined enough to not need to go to the classroom for the live review, I would definitely recommend the online review. You get the same exact lectures (they are scripted/recorded) and workbook materials, plus you can watch the material on your own time and re-watch and re-print the workbook materials however much you want. You get access to everything for 90 days after your purchase date. I bought it about a month ago and I'm planning on taking the NCLEX by the end of May. I've made it through all the lectures and I absolutely LOVE IT. Now I'm working on committing all of the information into my long-term memory. Whether you take the live review or purchase the online review, just know that watching all of the videos/filling out the workbook is only about 25% of the work... the remaining 75% is making sure that you know every single bit of that information "without a doubt and without hesitation." Good luck!!!!! :)

Hello! Did you used any other materials, books, etc to study for NCLEX?
