When you know what Kraft dinner, zeds, and chesterfields are....;)

Or when you go shopping and see 10 varieties of wine, but 200 varieties of maple syrup

I have very fond memories of a chesterfield. I lost my virginity on one in Toronto in the 70's. Mmmm, yummy Canadian men.

Reminds me of Idaho...(I still say pop - that was such a changeover when I moved from Cali. everyone called pop "soda") people there would think I am so weird now...

In Louisiana all soft drinks are called coke. As in " what kind of coke do you want hon' Coke, Dr.Pepper or Barq's?"

Wow, I love Canada, but not too many nursing students want to stay here...I think Canada is a great place to grow up and live, but I know for me personally what makes Canada so great is the fact that we have such personal drive to be involved in the rest of the world. I love the canadian uniqueness.......Best things in Canada are the chesterfield, zed (z) and the beavertail....oh my gosh I love those things but they dont have them all year round....they are way too hard to find! I definitely love hearing the stories of Canadians overseas and talking to people from other countries....great to hear the stories of how much people love Canadians!!

I dunno. I'd rather deal with 2 shootings a year rather than 7 a night. And I'm I'm in the BIG city in Canada. :chuckle

Now I'm not saying everywhere in the States is like that..but there is a difference if you want to live in a bigger city there in comparison to here.

anyways..that's what I love about Canada.

Montreal (Muntreal) is a bilingual city. I've had no problem being addressed primarily in English in Centre Ville and Outremont. Otherwise in Montreal all you need to know is "parle vous anglais?". I love this canadian humour. I can't wait to visit anglophone Canada!

sentences. Americans just say "uh" a lot in the middle of theirs! Oh, and if you get lost in Quebec (yes, everyone here pronounces it Kwa-beck, not Kuh-beck) no one will acknowledge you if you speak English, so don't go unprepared...try your best to remember the French you took in High School and College and you may find your way back to the highway alright! (Yep, happened to me!)

Cool thread! :)
