I got accepted to second entry nursing at York University on Feb 6th and I am really excited about it -finally starting something new and fresh :)
I added this new thread for students who got accepted or students who applied and are awaiting a response from York. I would love to befriend new nursing students even before the program starts.

i am still waiting and anxious like crazy its driving me nuts,i have a gpa of 3.78 which is low i guess and also i first applied in october 2012 i applied for 2nd entry as international student and in feb they transfered my file to the right department admissions claimed i had applied in the wrong section,so that puts me on the back line again.am now so worried though so worried its april-15 and all my friends have gotten their acceptances. how's ur waiting now?have u gotten anything?
No I have not received any news yet.. maybe because I am still finishing up a few courses. Hopefully we will hear some good news soon! by the way what does a 3.78 GPA convert into percentage?
89-94 hopefulN. i also read somewhere that york has said they will hand out admissions until end of may more waiting,more anxiety more stress.i cant help myself i check my email and york login everyday at best i a void checking for 2 days and hope that when i open something says admitted but nada
I know.. it is definitely very stressful waiting for a response. I emailed York and they said that acceptances would be handed out until June.. so let's see.. hoping for the best ! Good luck : )
I called York again and the admissions person said that admission decisions wouldn't go out until the end of the month and to keep waiting The other day I called and the lady said they are waiting on transcripts, so I'm not sure what is going on.. everyone tells me something different lol... hopefully acceptance decisions start going out soon.. now that I am done school it is definitely making me more nervous as to when admission decisions would go out. By the way, if someone was to be rejected would the letters have gone out already ?
Hopefuln i feel for you am still waiting too and dont even want to think about rejection cuz i put my eggs in one basket (york) they said end of the month possibly this may??its may 1st today so lets wait and see
yea definitely mid may or end of May we should have a response. I saw some other older forums and many people received their acceptances mid may to end of May.. so hopefully these coming few weeks bring good news. : )
I know I have to send my final transcript in as well, so that could possibly be why there is a delay... are you still waiting to send your transcripts ?
no i was one of the first pple to apply i applied in oct but my application was placed in the wrong category not until feb when i called asking about acceptances and the guy on the fon tells me nope u didnt apply for 2nd entry,i know i did and they screwed it up anyhow he put it into the 2nd entry app so now i was back at the end of the line cuz i asked does that mean i am still at the top of the line?he said nope its like you are at the bottom of the list.so that's my dilemma
