Yippeee!!! I just got my email for orientation!

Published

I know it may sound like a little thing, but I just got my email of when the UIC College of Nursing orientation will be! One thing though, I just didn't expect it to last so long. It's a mandatory 2 day with the 1st day from 9-5 and the second day from 8-12. But I'm so excited!

Thats great. I'm like you right now. I keep on getting letters from the school but have not received orientation letter yet. I just got one today (was a bill for one of the registered classes LOL). I can't wait till orientation I know what date its going to be but they are supposed to send letters some time in the beginning of May for orientation. Oh well...

When is your orientatin going to be, Cherish? And you already registered for classes? Do you know what they will cover in your orientation? (Sorry for all the questions).

Congratulations! I got my letter a little over a week ago,its for a ADN program (HFCC), my orientation isn't until June 5th. The letter said orientation is going to cover history of the schools program, nursing rules & regulations, uniforms, classes, clinicals, books, everything else we need before classes start ie. tb test, hospital insurance, drug test, immunizations, criminal back ground check. They said the meeting last about 4hrs and we register for classes two days later.

Congrats miMOMMYof3! June 5th isn't that far away... mine isn't until the 21st & 22nd of June :( I want it NOW, lol (What is wrong with me??)

Thanks, I know how you feel. I waited for the letter and now orientation- I don't know which one is worse, lol. I've been driving my hubby nuts talking about nursing school. I just bought Mobsys guide to nursing school, to read over the summer, because I have no experience in the health career field and I heard this was a good book plus its on our schools nursing program book list (an optional book). Im sooo excited and nervous, but I know im not the only one.. :-)
